This course aims to cover the basic principles of medical microbiology, including biology of eukaryotic and prokaryotic microorganisms, taking in consideration the microbial form, structure, function, physiology, metabolism, growth and genetics. It also covers mechanisms of infectious disease transmission and the principles of aseptic practice.
